It will be a bit choppy today with a southeasterly 15 to 25 knots and seas 1.5 to 2.5 metres. There have been red throat emperor, tuskfish, moses perch and gold spotted wrasse on the Barwon Banks. A few quality snapper and tuna in Luguna Bay. There have been good catches the past few days of snapper, sweetlip, tuna and big cobia from North Reef. Sweetlip, snapper, tuskies and big estuary cod on the Gneerings and off Caloundra 12 mile Cobia, snapper and pearl perch at Caloundra Wide and 12 Mile.
Noosa: Theres been plenty of quality flathead caught and released between 60 and 85cm recently at the Noosa River mouth. Flathead, bream and trevally along the Noosaville reach and in Woods Bay. Jack and bream in Weyba Creek. Flathead and bream along the Tewantin reach. Bass, bream and flathead from the everglades.
Maroochydore: Bream, flathead and school jew at night around Minti Street. Jacks and flathead in Petrie Creek. Big bream, jacks and flathead in the southern Channel. Bream to 36cm from Chambers Island. School jew, trevally to 2kg, tailor, a few good dusky flathead and the odd Milk fish in the Cod Hole. Mud crabs in the upper reaches.
Kawana: Dart and whiting along the beaches. Trevally along the rock walls at the mouth of the Mooloolah River and mud crabs in the canals. The odd tailor, bream and grass sweetlip from around Point Cartwright. A few big flathead, trevally and bream from McKenzie's bridge area.
Caloundra: Flathead along the Boardwalk. Whiting from Golden and Bulcock beaches. Whiting and flathead at the mouth of Bells Creek. Mangrove jack and schools of trevally around Pelican Waters Bridge.
