Offshore

Strong northerly at 15 to 20 knots, reaching 25 knots offshore in the morning. Winds increasing to 20 to 25 knots throughout in the afternoon and evening. Along with 1.5 to 2 metres seas will make for uncomfortable boating conditions today.

Estuaries

Noosa: Big flathead caught and released, trevally, whiting and small cobia at the Noosa River mouth. Flathead, tailor and trevally in Woods Bay. Jacks and trevally in Weyba Creek. School jew and jacks between the lakes. Bass from the everglades.

Maroochydore: Plenty of herring bait schooling up around Chambers Island. Trevally and school jew over night from Bli Bli and the Cod Hole. Jacks and flathead in Petrie Creek. Whiting off Chambers Island, from Cotton Tree and Picnic Point. Flathead in Maroochy Waters. Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Kawana: Dart, flathead and whiting along the beaches. Big flathead released and a few trevally along La Balsa wall. Flathead and mangrove jack in Kawana Canals. Jacks in lake Kawana. School jew and trevally around McKenzies Bridge. Plenty of bream from the moorings.

Caloundra: Flathead and bream along the Boardwalk. Whiting in the northern passage. Flathead at the mouth of Bells Creek. Mangrove jack and schools of trevally around Pelican Waters Bridge. Flathead at the mouth of Pelican Waters.
