Reasonable conditions with a bit of northerly sea breeze chop later in the afternoon with winds northerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots inshore in the afternoon an seas around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres inshore during the afternoon. Tomorrow we are swinging back to a cooler southerly with variable winds about 10 knots becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 25 knots from the south and seas okay early around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon or evening. So be ready to go out early both days. Try for Northern bluefin or longtail tuna to 12kg taken at Big Hall's, while North Reef's had moses perch, venus tusk fish, mowong, grass sweetlip, teraglin jewfish, one snapper, sea bream, Maori cod, gold spot cod and pearl perch. The 12 Mile and Murphys have been good for tuna, mackerel, cobia, red throat emperor, maori cod, squire, coronation trout, tusk fish, fusilier, trevally and amberjack. There's a few Spanish and spotty mackerel on live bait between Currimundi Reef and the NW Fairway Buoy. Spanish and school mackerel on the Gneering Shoals at Murphys and Coolum.
Noosa: Try for dart, bream and whiting along Teewah Beach. Plenty of mangrove jack have been caught with some released throughout the river system. There's been some big flathead caught and released in the Woods Bay and between Tewantin Marina and Makepeace Island. There's been plenty of good flathead, bream, whiting and trevally at the Noosa River mouth. In Weyba Creek there's quality flathead and a few quality sand crabs and mud crabs in the mid to upper reaches.
Maroochydore: Nice golden trevally in the lower river. A few good flathead, mangrove jack and jew at night in the Cod Hole. Mangrove jack in Petrie creek and along Bli Bli reach. Flathead and bream from the mouth of Eudlo Creek. Whiting in the morning around Chambers Island and Picnic Point. Some good mud crab in the deeper holes of the middle and upper river.
Kawana: Good dart and whiting in the low tide gutters, trevally along the rock walls at the Mooloolah River mouth. Trevally, bream and gar from near the pontoon at La Balsa Park, the boat mooring and in the Kawana canals. A few big flathead and whiting in the sand basin and trevally around Minyama Island. Trevally and flathead from Mountain Creek. Mangrove jack in the middle river and in Mountain Creek in and around the bridge pylons and snaggy banks.
Caloundra: Dart, bream and flathead along the beaches as well as trevally and queenfish on the Happy Valley side of the Bar. Whiting off Golden Beach and Bells Creek mouth, flathead along the drop offs and jew in the deeper holes in the Passage, mangrove jack around the bridge pylons and rock walls and trevally in the canals.
