Winds will be northwesterly at 15 to 20 knots tending north to northeasterly at 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon and evening. Seas are 1.5 to 2.5 metres with 1m of Easterly swell. Snapper, coral trout, moses perch and maori cod from Sunshine Reef. Noosa: Big flathead and tailor from the river mouth. Flathead, bream, grunter and a few jew in the ski runs. Flathead, trevally, jacks and whiting in Woods Bays. Mud crabs pretty well throughout all the systems and in Noosa Waters Canal.
Maroochydore: Bream to 35cm off Chambers Island. Trevally and school jew up to 65cm released around the motorway bridge pylons. Good flathead in the 42/50 cm to 60 cm range throughout the river. Mangrove jack and trevally in Petrie Creek. Whiting feeding in the middle and lower river. Tailor and trevally out from the jet ski run. A couple of good buck mud crabs caught around Bli Bli over the weekend.
Mooloolaba: Bream a few gar and good golden trevally from the boat moorings. Whiting and flathead from La Balsa Sand basin. Cod, flathead and bream from the Twin Bridges. Whiting from the entrance to Mountain Creek. Mud crabs in the canals and middle river.
Caloundra: The Whiting are in good number south of Bells Creek. Flathead, whiting and bream from Golden Beach. Trevally and mangrove jack in Pelican Waters and in the creeks that flow into the Passage. Mud crabs in Coochin Creek.
Rhys Crowhurst did well for his first trip offshore of Mooloolaba with several nice snapper.
