Local Fishing Report: Saturday 2018-02-10

Great conditions today, with winds variable about 10 knots becoming northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the late afternoon with seas below 1 metre. Looking like it could be choppy tomorrow with a pesky northerly around 15 to 20 knots and seas rising later in the day from around 1 metre, increasing to 1.5 metres during the evening. So be ready to venture out today to the local reefs for some quality mackerel and reef fish like grass sweetlip, moses perch, pearl perch, big coral trout and a few mackerel and tuna. Try for snapper, cod, venus tusk, pearl perch, spotty mackerel and tuna from Caloundra reefs and  spotty mackerel and yellowfin tuna, from the Blinker, Arkwright shoal, Sunshine Reef and in the bay at Noosa.
