Offshore

Reasonable, conditions today, except for some northerly choppy seas early as winds will be northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching 15 to 20 knots Choppy to rough conditions this morning out wide away from coast but should improve later in the day as winds will be south to southwesterly 20 to 25 knots, easing to 15 to 20 knots late in the morning. Winds tending south to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots during the late afternoon and evening and seas 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday.Tomorrow will be the best day with winds southeasterly 10 to 15 knots decreasing to about 10 knots during the afternoon with seas 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning. Sunshine Reef has had snapper, tusk fish and quality coral trout that went 70cm. Wild Thing 2  fished D.I.P this week for quality cobia, snapper, slate bream, tusk fish, gold spot estuary cod and a thumper pearl perch and then fished North Reef for catches of snapper, moses perch, coral bream, teraglin jewfish, pearl perch and a cracker Maori cod." www.fishingnoosa.com.au/noosacharters.htm There's been good catches of snapper on Sunshine Reef as well as coral trout, Spanish mackerel, yellow tail kingfish and grass sweetlip and also a few cobia. Snapper and tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile. Snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. has had jew, good snapper and cobia showing up. Grass sweetlip, cobia, cod, quality snapper and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. Snapper, cod, moses perch, spotty mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile. snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. Big snapper, cod, grass sweetlip, cobia and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks.

Estuaries and Beaches

Noosa: There's been really good catches of luderick and bream at the river mouth and lower river. Big GT's and golden trevally caught and released in the lower river system. Jew at night and flathead around Munna Pt and around the Islands. Trevally along the Tewantin Reach. . Good tailor, jew at night and a few whiting in the lower river.

Maroochydore: Bream, flathead, dart and and catches of big tailor on Wednesday from the river mouth and around the Pincushion. Jew, several good tailor in the Cod Hole. Jew at night from the Bli Bli stretch. Flathead, big whiting, golden trevally and good bream from Channel Island and in the south channel.

Mooloolaba: A few good tailor and golden trevally in the lower river. Quality bream around McKenzies Bridge, the rock walls and the Kawana Boat Ramp. Average size grass sweetlip and big bream off the rocks at Point Cartwright. Gar in the La Balsa sand basin. Sand crabs in Kawana Waters.

Caloundra: Big bream and grass sweetlip off Moffat Head. Bream and tailor from Shelly Beach. Luderick, bream, golden trevally and flathead off the boardwalk. Bream, flathead and whiting along Golden beach. Trevally, cod, tailor and bream in Pelican Waters Canal.
