Offshore

Excellent conditions as winds will be north to northwesterly about 10 knots, tending north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon and seas around 1 metre.Tomorrow is okay but with a choppy breeze particularly in the morning with winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots turning west to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots during the evening and seas below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore.  Christopher Gibb fished Sunshine Reef with a couple of mates on Sunday using plastics and bait we got a feed of snapper, tusk fish and quality coral trout that went 70cm.  Trekka 2 skipper Mitch Bertacchini took a seven hour charter to North Reef on Monday morning. Conditions were fantastic with little to no wind and next to no current and the crew caught snapper, moses perch, venus tusk fish, Maori cod and gold spot cod." www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm  There's been good catches of snapper on Sunshine and  North Reef as well as coral trout, Spanish mackerel, yellow tail kingfish and grass sweetlip and also a few cobia. Snapper and tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile. Snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. has had jew, good snapper and cobia showing up. Grass sweetlip, cobia, cod, quality snapper and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. Snapper, cod, moses perch, spotty mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile. snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. Big snapper, cod, grass sweetlip, cobia and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. There have been solid Red Emperor , snapper, amberjack, cod, mulloway, yellowfin tuna taken by the crews on a Rainbow Escape Charters North of Double Island Point and East of the Wide Bay Bar. The crew aboard Double Island Point Fishing Charters solid cobia, snapper, coral trout, yellow fin tuna, sweetlip ,pearl perch, tusk fish north of the Wide Bay Bar.

Estuaries and Beaches

Noosa: There's been good catches of luderick and bream at the river mouth and lower river. Jew at night and flathead around Munna Pt and around the Islands. Trevally along the Tewantin Reach. Golden trevally in Woods Bays and the canals. Chopper tailor, jew at night and a few whiting in the lower river.

Maroochydore: Bream, flathead, dart and tailor from the river mouth. Jew, several good tailor in the Cod Hole. Jew at night from the Bli Bli stretch. Flathead, big whiting, golden trevally and good bream from Channel Island and in the south channel.

Mooloolaba: A few good tailor and golden trevally in the lower river. Quality bream around McKenzies Bridge, the rock walls and the Kawana Boat Ramp. Average size grass sweetlip and big bream off the rocks at Point Cartwright. Gar in the La Balsa sand basin. Sand crabs in Kawana Waters.

Caloundra: Big bream and grass sweetlip off Moffat Head. Bream and tailor from Shelly Beach. Luderick, bream, golden trevally and flathead off the boardwalk. Bream, flathead and whiting along Golden beach. Trevally, cod, tailor and bream in Pelican Waters Canal.
