Offshore

The lead up to Saturdays Full Moon and into next week will have the fish on the bite. Good conditions as winds will be north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots becoming north to northeasterly during the afternoon with seas around 1 metre, decreasing below 0.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to below 1 metre around midday.Tomorrow will be okay as well with with a little northerly chop as winds will be variable about 10 knots becoming northerly 10 to 15 knots during the morning then decreasing to about 10 knots during the evening with seas around 1 metre. Wild Thing 2 crews fished D.I.P on Tuesday for a good feed of tusk fish, hussar, longtail tuna, big eye tuna, pearl perch, snapper and a nice Spanish mackerel." www.fishingnoosa.com.au/noosacharters.htm   Sunshine Reef has had snapper, tusk fish and quality coral trout. North Reef has had snapper, moses perch, coral bream, teraglin jewfish, pearl perch and a cracker Maori cod. There's been good catches of snapper on Sunshine Reef as well as coral trout, Spanish mackerel, yellow tail kingfish and grass sweetlip and also a few cobia. Snapper and tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile. Snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. has had jew, good snapper and cobia showing up. Grass sweetlip, cobia, cod, quality snapper and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. Snapper, cod, moses perch, spotty mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile. snapper and sweetlip from Currimundi. Big snapper, cod, grass sweetlip, cobia and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks.

Estuaries and Beaches

Noosa: Quality tailor and good dart along Teewah Beach. Luderick and bream at the river mouth and lower river. A 69cm golden trevally caught in the lower estuary on Tuesday's Noosa River Fishing Safari. Jew at night and flathead around Munna Pt and around the Islands. Trevally along the Tewantin Reach. Good tailor, jew at night and a few whiting in the lower river.

Maroochydore: The lead up to Saturdays Full Moon and into next week will have the fish on the bite. Plenty of good bream, the odd flathead, dart and and catches tailor from the river mouth and around the Pincushion. A few big, several good tailor to 60cm, and golden trevally in the Cod Hole. Quality bream from the motorway bridge pylons. Jew over 1m and mangrove jack at night from the Bli Bli stretch. Flathead, tailor and good bream from around Goat and Channel Islands.

Mooloolaba: A few quality tailor along Kawana and Wurtulla Beach at dawn and dusk over the past few days. A few good tailor and golden trevally in the lower river. Quality bream around McKenzies Bridge, the rock walls and the Kawana Boat Ramp. Average size grass sweetlip and big bream off the rocks at Point Cartwright. Gar in the La Balsa sand basin. Sand crabs in Kawana Waters.

Caloundra: Big bream and grass sweetlip off Moffat Head. Bream and tailor from Shelly Beach. Luderick, bream, golden trevally and flathead off the boardwalk. Bream, flathead and whiting along Golden beach. Trevally, cod, tailor and bream in Pelican Waters Canal.

The Crews on Rainbow Escape Charters fished the reefs off Double Island with a nice Red Emperor taken last weekend.
