Conditions a bit choppy today but looking good for tomorrow with southeasterly 15 to 20 knots turning easterly in the evening, with seas 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning. Tomorrow will have good conditions with winds east to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending north to northeasterly during the afternoon with seas around 1 metre. With good conditions early today it's worth heading out to the inshore reefs to chase the schooling long tail tuna and mixed bag of reef fish.
Local Dams and Rivers
In the Dams quality bass, saratoga and yellowbelly feeding at present. Borumba Dam has bass and saratoga still hitting lures and fly particularly. Check out Southern Queensland Fishing facebook page, for more Dam Information.
Estuaries and Beaches
Noosa: Whiting throughout the lower system. Flathead, bream and trevally from the River mouth. A few queenfish, trevally in Woods bays. Mangrove jack, cod and bream from Munna Point. Good grunter bream around Goat Island. Mud crabs throughout river.
Maroochydore: Jew, bream and trevally in the Cod Hole. Bream, whiting and flathead along the Black Banks and Goat Island stretch. Bream to 40cm and golden trevally at Cotton Tree. Still big mud crabs throughout the river particularly in the creeks.
Mooloolaba: Trevally around the rocks walls, pontoons and Jetties between the Mouth. Good fighting golden trevally around Minyama Island. Cod, trevally and flathead from La Balsa Basin and mangrove jack around the structures and rock walls. Mud crabs in the creeks, canals and throughout the river.
Caloundra: Trevally, mangrove jack and cod in Pelican Waters Canal. Whiting, bream, grunter and flathead on the flats between the bar and Golden Beach and in the creek mouths. Trevally and bream off the Muddies in the creeks and mangrove areas throughout the passage.
