Offshore: Good conditions today except for perhaps a choppy afternoon sea breeze, with winds, north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots turning west to northwesterly in the early morning Winds then becoming light and variable in the middle of the day with northerly sea breezes 10 to 15 knots inshore and seas around 1 metre. Also excellent conditions tomorrow with winds southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, tending east to northeasterly about 10 knots in the afternoon or evening. Inshore winds southerly below 10 knots in the early morning with seas below 1 metre. Chardon's Reef has had for nice snapper, Maori cod and Moses perch. Sunshine Reef's also had good snapper, tusk fish, Moses perch, bonito, longtail tuna, grass emperor and school mackerel. Double Island Point has had cobia, jewfish, pearl perch, tusk fish, yellowtail kingfish and ironjaw. Deep End Fishing Charters off Mooloolaba have been catching a few quality snapper to 75cm. Grass sweetlip, cod and quality snapper, Maori cod, and venus tusk fish from the Gneerings and Caloundra 12 mile. Good quality snapper, grassy sweetlip, pearlies, tusk fish and cobia. pearl perch and tusk fish from the Banks.
Noosa: Noosa River Fishing Safaris, report plenty of bream around structures at the river mouth and Dog Beach. Flathead on the ebb tide in the Woods Bays and river mouth. Tewantin and Cooroibah fished well for bream and flathead. several hookups on the queenfish but busted off on the light gear time and time again. Liam from Windera, Queensland caught a 65cm dusky and his better half Maree who topped him with her 67cm fish.
Maroochydore: With the cold conditions it's worth fishing along the beaches for jew, tailor, bream and whiting. There is a few quality flathead in the middle reaches of the river. Still plenty of bream around this week with a few in the 30 to 35cm bracket and some to 41cm at the rivermouth and whiting in the mouth of Eudlo Creek as well as tailor and trevally from Cod Hole. Still a few mud crabs being taken throughout the river.
Mooloolaba: Worth a fish in the gutters or off Pt Cartwright for bream, jew and tailor. Still a few mud crabs in the estuaries to be potted.Bream and several dusky flathead and golden trevally from the boat moorings and canals. Cod, bream and flathead from the twin bridges.
Caloundra: Try for luderick around the Boardwalk. Bream and flathead in Coochin Creek. Whiting off the sand Banks and bream in the deeper holes and channels of the passage. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters. Small snapper and sweetlip off the rocky headlands.
