The Caloundra Powerboat Fishing Club is again holding its annual Take-A-Kid-Fishing
Offshore: Strong Wind Warning for Today in Sunshine Coast Waters So, more windy and very rough conditions today with winds, southwesterly 25 to 30 knots turning southerly early in the morning. Winds inshore tending southerly at 20 to 25 knots in the morning and afternoon and 2 to 3 metre seas in open waters. Rough conditions again today but easing back in the late afternoon with a bit of luck with winds southerly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 20 to 25 knots in the morning. Winds becoming southeasterly 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon and seas 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Spanish mackerel from Halls Reef. North Reef has had quality Maori cod, snapper, Moses perch and Venus tusk fish. Chardon's Reef has had for nice snapper, Maori cod and Moses perch. Sunshine Reef's also had good snapper, tusk fish, Moses perch, bonito, longtail tuna, grass emperor and school mackerel. School mackerel from Raper Shoal. Grass sweetlip, tusk fish, queenfish and tailor from Old Women Island. Pearl perch, snapper, tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile.
Noosa: Tailor off the beach along Sunshine Beach stretch. Whiting in the lower river. Big eye trevally flathead and a queenies in Woods Bays. Big flathead opposite Gympie Terrace. Tewantin and in between the lakes are producing queenfish, trevally,flathead and school jew.
Maroochydore: Tailor over night from Marcoola Beach. Whiting on the incoming tide around ths sand banks in the lower river. Flathead to 68cm in the middle reaches of the river. Mangrove jack and school jew in the middle and upper river. Flathead in Petrie Creek.
Mooloolaba: Bream, dusky flathead and golden trevally from the boat moorings and canals. Cod, bream and flathead from the twin bridges. Mangrove jack and cod from the rock bars in the upper river.
Caloundra: Bream and flathead in Coochin Creek. Whiting from Golden Beach stretch. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters. Be ready for the Caloundra Power Club's 'Take A Kid Fishing Day' to be held on Sunday the 29th of September. For further Information contact Terry Graham on 0408190569.
