Tomorrows conditions will be pretty good particularly throughout the morning with winds easterly 10 to 15 knots decreasing to about 10 knots during the morning and seas below 1 metre. Spotty mackerel, cobia and Maori Cod from Currimundi wide. Spanaish and spotty mackerel and a a few cobia in Luguna Bay and from Sunshine Reef. Cobia, wahoo, spotty mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile. Solid Cobia, sweetlip and tuna and some quality spanish mackerel from North Reef. Been several good catches Spanish, spotty mackerel, cobia, and snapper out from Point Arkwright and around Old Women Island. Cobia spotty mackerel and tuna and grass sweetlip from Coolum.
Noosa: The lower river is producing quality GT's, golden trevally, some reasonable bream, grunter and flathead. A few catches of reasonable whiting throughout the river at present. A few good catches of mangrove jack in the creeks, canals and around the bridge structures and up between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Giant and golden trevally, estuary cod and bream in the Cod Hole. Few quality Mangrove Jack to 50 cm in the upper estuary. Flathead from the creek mouths. Mud Crabs where potted in the upper reaches.
Mooloolaba: Bream and trevally from the moorings. Trevally from La Balsa park. Jacks and flathead in Mountain Creek. Target jacks, flathead and trevally, from McKenzies Bridge. Cod, mangrove jack and and muddies from the upper Mooloolah.
Caloundra: A few bream, whiting and dart from along the beaches. Sand crabs in in the deeper channels and sea grass beds of the northenr passage. Flathead, mangrove jack and mud crabs in Coochin Creeks. Jacks, cod and queenfish in Pelican Waters.
Over the Australia Day Weekend, keen angler Luke Opelt caught this hard fighting 12kg Spanish Mackeral just off Yaroomba, Mount Coolum area.
