Offshore: Excellent offshore conditions today with winds variable below 10 knots. Afternoon northeasterly sea breezes 10 to 15 knots inshore and seas below 1 metre. Also good conditions early tomorrow and becoming pretty choppy in the afternoon with winds north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, with offshore winds increasing to 15 to 20 knots from the late afternoon, with seas below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore during the afternoon or evening. The crews on Deep End Fishing Charters have been bringing home good catches of quality snapper in the 65cm range on local reefs off Mooloolaba. North Reef taking quality snapper, pearl perch, cobia, Maori cod, and venus tusk fish . Sunshine Reef, with good conditions, with plenty of reasonable size snapper, tusk fish, Moses perch, bonito, longtail tuna, grass emperor and school mackerel. Double Island Point has had cobia, jewfish, pearl perch, tusk fish, yellowtail kingfish and ironjaw. Grass sweetlip, cod and quality snapper, Maori cod, and venus tusk fish from the Gneerings and Caloundra 12 mile. Good quality snapper, grassy sweetlip, pearlies, tusk fish and cobia. pearl perch and tusk fish from the Banks.
Noosa: Luderick at the rocks inside the river mouth. Teewah Beach gutters have been producing bream and tailor. Bream,flathead, and a few good whiting and plenty of trevally throughout the lower river and up around Tewantin.
Maroochydore: The odd quality flathead in the middle reaches of the river. Bream and whiting in the mouth of Eudlo Creek as well as tailor and trevally from Cod Hole. Quality bream throughout the lower river. Flathead from the Creek mouths and lower river.
Mooloolaba: Worth a fish in the gutters or off Pt Cartwright for bream and tailor. Bream and several dusky flathead and golden trevally from the boat moorings and canals. Cod and flathead from the twin bridges.
Caloundra: Bream and flathead in Coochin Creek. Whiting off the sand Banks and bream in the deeper holes and channels of the passage. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters. Small snapper and sweetlip off the rocky headlands.
