Local Fishing Report: Friday 21/12/2012

Noosa: A few snapper, mackerel and cobia taken on local reefs like Sunshine, early morning. Whiting and dart off Teewah Beach Whiting, flathead and trevally in Weyba Creek. Whiting and a few grunter and trevally to 2kg in Woods bays. Mangrove jacks from Tewantin,and a few good muddies between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Good quality dusky flathead taken in the Bli Bli area. Several jack in Petrie and Paynters Creek. Whiting in Maroochy Waters Canal, Twin Waters stretch and off the beach at Mudjimba. Bream and flathead from Bli Bli bridge.Been some good mud crabs taken in the middle and upper reaches.
Kawana: Mackerel and cobia and a few spangled emperor from Currimundi and Coolum Reef. A few whiting and dart along Kawana Beach. Whiting, jacks and giant herring from Mountain Creek. Whiting and flathead in the basin. Jacks from the rock walls, Kawana Waters and McKenzies Bridge. Big bream on soft plastics around the moorings.
Caloundra; Try for trevally and jack in the Pelican Waters Canals. Good whiting and plenty of average flathead with quite a few quality fish to 60 and 70cm in the top end of the Passage. Sand crabs in the channel between the bar and Golden Beach. Jacks and mud crabs in Coochin Creek.

Mangrove jacks from Tewantin, the lakes, the sound and lake Weyba.
Maroochydore: A solid 70cm+ dusky flathead taken at Bli Bli, yesterday. Several quality jack in Petrie and Paynters Creek. Whiting in Maroochy Waters Canal, Twin Waters stretch and off the beach at Mudjimba. Bream and flathead from Bli Bli bridge.Been some good mud crabs taken in the middle and upper reaches.

Noosa: Looks like more peskie northerly winds for most of the week, with a few mackerel and cobia on local reefs, early morning. Whiting and dart off Teewah Beach Whiting, flathead and trevally in Weyba Creek. Whiting and a few grunter and trevally to 2kg in Woods bays. Mangrove jacks from Tewantin, the lakes, the sound and lake Weyba.
Maroochydore: Dolphin fish, snapper and cobia out wide at the banks. Whiting in Maroochy Waters Canal, Twin Waters stretch and off the beach at Mudjimba. Bream and flathead from Bli Bli bridge. Plenty of jack from Bli Bli, the cod hole and Petrie Creek..
Kawana: Mackerel from Currimundi and Coolum Reef. A few whiting and dart along Kawana Beach. Whiting, jacks and giant herring from Mountain Creek. Whiting and flathead in the basin. Jacks from the rock walls, Kawana Waters and McKenzies Bridge. Big bream on soft plastics around the moorings.

Sunshine Denture had their Christmas party on board SEA RUNNER 2, catching dolphin fish at 9kg and cobia 8kg and snapper to 3.5 kg.
