Local Fishing Report: Wednesday 2013-06-12

Noosa: There's good quality trevally in the lower Noosa River at present and they are taking plenty of mangrove jack throughout the system. Flathead to 65cm opposite the yacht club. A few good bream around 35cm from Munna Point. Bream and flathead from the rock wall at the river mouth.

Maroochydore: There's a lot of dirty water runoff at present so fish the lower river for best results. There have been bream to 40cm and jew from the river mouth. Flathead and bream from Bli Bli and the cod hole. Whiting from Twin waters. Sand crabs in the lower river.

Kawana: Bream and the odd tailor at dawn and dusk along the beach and off Pt Cartwright. Good bream to 1kg and a few golden trevally around the boat moorings. Bream and flathead McKenzie's Bridge.

Caloundra: Flathead and tailor inside the bar and the tip of Bribie island. Trevally in Pelican Waters. Big bream in the Blue Hole and off the boardwalk. Whiting along Golden Beach and Bells Creek. Sand crabs in the northern passage.

Sam Sun Keith Paxton Pincushion Yellow Fin Bream

Sam Sun and Keith Paxton fished around the Pin Cushion on Tuesday night for a solid feed of yellow fin bream.

Wade Jacobsen, These were the 8 that I kept from the 14 we caught just before the rain started on the weekend. Fished around the yabbie banks near the boat ramp. Some blue swimmers around goat island.

Chris Maybury was working soft plastics this week in the Maroochy River mouth when he caught this solid 12kg 1.2m jew fish, what a ripper.

Local Fishing Report: Saturday 2013-06-08

Noosa: Worth trying for dart, bream and tailor along the beaches. Trevally taken in Woods Bay. Flathead to 65cm opposite the yacht club. A few good bream around 35cm from Munna Point. Bream and flathead from the rock wall at the river mouth.

Maroochydore: Bream to 40cm form the river mouth over night and a 1.2kg jew on soft plastic in the bar. Bream to 39cm from Yinni Street. Bream to 35cm and several good tailor caught in the lower river and along North Shore. There have been a few good bream, flathead and whiting around Chambers Island. Still the odd sand crab to be potted in the lower and middle river.

Kawana: Bream and the odd tailor at dawn and dusk along the beach and off Pt Cartwright. Good bream to 1kg and a few golden trevally around the boat moorings. Around McKenzie's Bridge Bream and flathead.

Caloundra: Flathead and tailor inside the bar and the tip of Bribie island. Trevally to 2kg taken yesterday in Pelican Waters. Bream in the Blue Hole and off the boardwalk. Whiting to 39cm between Golden beach and Bells Creek. Sand crabs in the northern passage.

Cartwright Hobden Yellow fin Bream

Adam Cartwright and Craig Hobden fished all night for a solid feed of yellow fin bream to 1.25kg in weight from the River mouth.
