Local Fishing Report: Wednesday 13/02/2013

Noosa: Whiting, bream and flathead around the frying pan and mouth. Flathead and bream in Weyba Creek. Whiting along the Gympie Terrace Stretch. Jacks from Munna Bridge and Noosa Waters over night.

Maroochydore: A 50cm jack and a few good bream to 34cm in the Cod Hole. Jack and flathead to 60cm in Eudlo Creek. Whiting to 40cm around the sandbanks at goat island and grunter to 39cm in the deeper channel edges. Mud crabs between the cod hole and Bli Bli wetlands.

Kawana: Mangrove jack to 2kg in Mountain Creek. Mud crabs in the upper river and the canals. Bream and whiting from the sand basin. Bream to the 1.2kg mark and a few giant trevally from the mooring and rock walls. School jew and jacks around McKenzies Bridge.

Caloundra: Mud crabs south of Coochin Creek and up Bells. Bream, grunter, school jew and flathead between the bar and Boardwalk. Whiting and grunter from the Golden Beach stretch. Trevally and bream in Pelican Waters.

Dan Park was fishing in the lower Maroochy River with live bait over night when he caught and released this awesome 125cm Barramundi this week.

Local Fishing Report: Tuesday 12/02/2013

Noosa: After the New moon there has been some good fish feeding activity. Whiting, bream, grunter feeding in the lower river. Plenty of mangrove jack and flathead in Weyba Creek and in the Tewantin stretch. Trevally on the making tide, best along the rock walls in the lower and middle reaches.

Maroochydore: The water is pretty clear on high tide now. A 50cm jack taken in the Cod Hole and more jack and flathead to 60cm in Eudlo Creek. Good whiting around the sandbanks at goat island and grunter to 39cm in the deeper channel edges. Mud crabs between the cod hole and Bli Bli wetlands.

Kawana: Mangrove jack to 2kg in Mountain Creek. Mud crabs in the upper river and the canals. Bream and whiting from the sand basin on the incoming tide. Good bream from the mooring and rock walls. School jew around McKenzies Bridge.
