Local Fishing Report: Friday 27/04/2012

Noosa: Big Spanish mackerel from Sunshine Reef. Big tailor along Teewah and Double Island Point in the evenings. Whiting, bream and Golden Trevally from the Frying pan. Jacks, flathead and whiting to 43cm from Woods bay.

Maroochydore: Good sized tailor and jew along the beach at Mudjimba. Bream to 33cm in the Cod Hole and from the Pin Cushion. Flathead from Chambers Island and the mouth. A few trevally form Twin Waters and Godfrey' Road.

Kawana: Good numbers of snapper around 4kg, sweetlip and cobia from the Barwon Banks. Whiting and dart from Kawana beach. Bream and flathead around the pontoons in the canals opposite of Mooloolaba boat ramp. Mud crabs throughout the upper river system.

Caloundra: Small flathead and a few good bream to 35cm from the bar. Whiting to 34cm are well scattered at the Caloundra end of the passage. Queenfish and trevally in Pelican Waters. Tailor and jew in the deeper holes. Snapper, sweetlip and big Spanish mackerel from the 5 mile.

Attachment: Cameron took advantage of the fine weather on Anzac day to wet a line with his family from the bank near the cod hole and caught several pre winter run bream up to 34cm.
