South to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Lighter southwesterly winds close inshore early. Easing back further tomorrow with, south to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots shifting north to northeasterly during the afternoon. So there could be some windows of opportunity to fish early morning and close inshore for mackerel.
Noosa: Flathead, bream, whiting, trevally and jew at the Noosa River mouth, flathead and around the Frying Pan. bream, Whiting and mangrove jack in Weyba Creek and flathead, bream and school jew along the Tewantin reach.
Maroochydore: Try for bream, flathead, dart and tarwhine along Mudjimba and Marcoola Beaches. Plenty of average flathead from the creek mouths. Whiting around Bli Bli and Goat and Channel Island. Sand and mud crabs and mangrove jack throughout the middle and upper river.
Kawana: Dart and whiting along the beaches and trevally and bream in the upper reaches of the Mooloolah River. Bream and a few golden trevally from the mooring. Trevally, jacks and cod around McKenzies Bridge area. A few sand crabs in the lower river. Mud crabs in the deep holes in the upper reaches.
Caloundra: Bream and dart near the entrance to Currimundi Lake and whiting off the tip of Bribie Island and at Bells Creek mouth. Try for flathead around the Coastguard Jetty and Bulcock Beach and trevally and tarpon on small surface lures in the canals. Target mangrove jack in the creek and sand crabs in the channels.
