Estuaries

Noosa: The rain has dirtied up the water, so the fish will be on the bite in the lower reaches. Big bream, plenty of flathead and the odd jew fish to 80cm from the river mouth. Trevally to 2kg and flathead in Woods Bays. Big bream to 40cm from the Marina. Bream and flathead along Tewantin ski run. Bream and a few mud crabs throughout Noosa Waters canals and in Weyba Creek.

Maroochydore: Trevally and jew to 83cm in the Cod Hole. Flathead from the creek mouths. Whiting, flathead, chopper tailor and school jew around Picnic Pt and in the canals. Mud crabs on the ebb tide from Bli Bli and Petrie Creek.

Kawana: Bream and tailor at night off the rocks walls. Whiting, sand crabs and flathead in sand basin. Giant and cale cale trevally, jew and jack around the twin bridges. Mud crabs in the canals.

Caloundra: Bream, trevally, school jew and jacks in Pelican waters Canal. Whiting in Currimundi Lake and south of Bells Creek. Flathead from the NW tip of Bribie Island, Military Jetty and Coochin Creek.

4kg school mackerel

School mackerel are feeding I good numbers on the close in reefs of Caloundra with Top Catch charter clients bagging a few last week.
