Local Fishing Report: Sunday 2014-12-28

Offshore

Conditions should be good, with easterly 10 to 15 knots tending northeasterly before dawn and seas around 1 metre. There have been some good catches of spotty and Spanish mackerel right along the coast off Currimundi, Coolum and at Sunshine Reef. The crew on Top Catch Charters have been fishing Caloundra 12 Mile and the Banks for spanish mackerel, spotted mackerel and mahi mahi on the surface, with parrot and sweetlip on the bottom.  Barwon Banks produced quality maori cod, mahi mahi, snapper and red throat emperor. Murphys produced good hussar, moses perch, mulloway and cobia.
