May be better to stay in port on Friday with a Strong Wind Warning for Friday for Sunshine Coast Waters. Starting with a northerly 15 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots in the late evening. 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing below 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the afternoon. There have been few Spanish mackerel, Mahi Mahi on Sunshine Reef and mulloway on North Reef. Sweetlip and spotty mackerel at Old Woman Island.
Noosa: Bream, some big flathead around 60cm, trevally, tailor and jew at Noosa River mouth and in Woods Bay, with bream, the odd tailor, and moses perch in Weyba Creek. Try for flathead and bream along the Noosaville reach. Jack to 50cm and flathead between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Yesterday there were good catches of big whiting to 38cm in the lower river. Flathead, bream and tarwhine in the deep holes along the beaches. Try for flathead, grunter, bream and mangrove jack along the Bli Bli reach, mangrove jack to 49cm in Petrie Creek and mud crabs in the mid to upper reaches of the Maroochy River.
Kawana: Bream and a few reasonable trevally feeding around the mooring. Jack in the in Kawana Waters and around the bridges in Currimundi Lake. A few whiting to 37cm in Mountain Creek and the canal system. A few crabs in canal systems and lower river.
Caloundra: Whiting in the top end of the passage, off the banks near Military Jetty, along Golden Beach stretch. Mangrove jack in Bell's Creek, Pelican Waters and up Coochin Creek. Crabs south of Bells creek in the deeper water.
