Stay in the estuary's and other sheltered areas today and tomorrow with winds southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas will be 1.5 to 2 metres. Swell will be southeasterly 2 to 2.5 metres. There have been cobia, grass sweetlip and a few snapper on the inner gneerings. Grass sweetlip from the reef off Point Cartwright.
Noosa: Fishing from the rocky headlands in the NP is producing a few sweetlip, bream and tailor. Bream on top of the tide at the Noosa River mouth, Munna Point and Frying Pan. Luderick around the dog beach rocks, whiting between Noosaville and Tewantin, flathead near the ferry crossing at Tewantin and trevally at the entrance of Lake Cooroibah.
Maroochydore: Dart and bream in the gutters along Marcoola Beach. Luderick, tailor, bream and flathead around the Cod Hole. Big bream to 40cm, flathead to 60cm and trevally from Cotton Tree. Flathead to 56cm and a few good bream from Bli Bli reach. Still a few good muddies in the upper reaches and sand crabs in the lower river.
Kawana: Plenty of bream, tailor and jew along the beaches. Jew and bream off the rocks at Point Cartwright and bream off the rock walls at the Mooloolah River mouth, along the La Balsa Park reach and around the trawler moorings. Flathead, bream and gar in the Basin, remember gar are some of the best bait.
Caloundra: Chopper tailor and jew along the beaches, small snapper off the rocks at Shelly Beach. Flathead around the banks in Pumicestone Passage, bream between the Blue Hole and Power Boat Club. Luderick along the Boardwalk and trevally in the canals. Good catches of quality bream and a few sand crabs throughout the Pumicestone Passge.
Kim Maas fished the banks and the Gneering's on Friday with his mate Ollie, for snapper and this fighting cobia.
