Offshore: Pretty good conditions today with the winds north to northeasterly below 10 knots becoming easterly before dawn then increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the early afternoon and seas around 1 metre. Tomorrow conditions will be okay as well with winds east to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending north to northeasterly during the afternoon and seas around 1 metre. Double Island Point has had quality scarlet sea perch, red emperor, snapper, venus tusk fish, moses perch and longtail tuna. Chardon's Reef has had tusk fish, moses perch, pearl perch, Maori cod and spotted mackerel. North Reefs had gold spot cod, pearl perch, grass emperor, tusk fish and moses perch. Trekka 2 skipper Mitch Bertacchini fished Sunshine Reef on Friday where the crews caught snapper, pearl perch, grass emperor, moses perch, tusk fish, cobia and a few bonito. Big grass sweetlip, snapper and moses perch from the Gneerings. Spotty and a few spanish mackerel, cobia, sweetlip and snapper form Caloundra 5 and 12 mile reefs.
Noosa: Julie Sharland caught and release a quality nice female flathead full of babies at Dog Beach on Saturday. Still catching trevally, bream and a few quality flathead in the lower river. Bream, mangrove jack and trevally in the Woods Bays. A few good whiting showing up from throughout lower river.
Maroochydore: There are schools of herring bait fish around Picnic Pt, Chambers Island and up to the Cod Hole. Trevally and bream from the Cod Hole. Flathead, bream and whiting from Chambers Island. Whiting and bream from Cotton Tree. Flathead to 84cm released and mangrove jack in Petrie Creek. A few mud crabs in the creeks.
Mooloolaba: Whiting from the La Balsa sand basin. Flathead on soft plastics in the Mooloolaba canals. Bream, flathead and trevally around the moorings. Mangrove jack and a cod from the Kawana Weir. Mud crabs in the upper river.
Caloundra: Whiting and some big flathead from Golden Beach. Grunter, bream and flathead south of Coochin Creek. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters. Few sand crabs between the bar and Bells Creek, worth chasing a few muddies as well.
