Offshore: It's shaping up to be a good weekend for offshore fishing with favourbale boating conditions. Winds will be East to northeasterly at 10 to 15 knots, with seas at 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning. Tomorrow the winds will be Northeasterly at 10 to 15 knots decreasing to below 10 knots during the morning, then increasing to 10 to 15 knots again in the late afternoon, with seas around the 1m mark. Chardon's Reef has had for nice snapper, Maori cod and Moses perch. Sunshine Reef's also had good snapper, tusk fish, Moses perch, bonito, longtail tuna, grass emperor and school mackerel. Grass sweetlip, queenfish and small snapper from Old Women Island. Long tail tuna, cod, sweetlip and tusk fish from Coolum. Pearl perch, snapper, tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile. Quality snapper from the Blinker.
Noosa: Golden, diamond, tealeaf and giant trevally throughout the lower system. Noosa River Fishing Safaris crews caught and released an 80cm queenfish and mangrove jack in the upper river. Big flathead have been caught and released opposite Gympie Terrace and along the Tewantin stretch. Flathead and school jew in between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Whiting throughout the lower river. Whiting throughout the lower river. A few over sized flathead caught and released in the middle reaches. Trevally and tarpon from the Cod Hole. Mangrove jack in the creeks and upper river. Flathead, cod and bream in Eudlo Creek.
Mooloolaba: Whiting from Mountain Creek and brightwater reach. Bream, dusky flathead and trevally from the boat moorings. Cod, bream and flathead from the twin bridges. Mangrove jack and cod in the upper river and canals.
Caloundra: Cod, jack and flathead in Coochin Creek. Big flathead between the bar and golden beach. Whiting along the Golden Beach stretch. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters.
