Offshore: Pretty good conditions right through the weekend! Today's winds will be north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending north to northeasterly from late morning and seas around 1 metre. Tomorrow conditions will be very workable as well with winds northerly about 10 knots tending north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon and seas around 1 metre. Sunshine Reef produce a 13.5kg Spanish mackerel and a 105cm cobia, this week as well as, snapper, pearl perch, grass emperor, moses perch, tusk fish and a few bonito. For more information check out www.fishingnoosa.com.au Cougar One skipper Nat Turner on Monday fished Double Island Point in oil-slick calm conditions with a current from the south-east where his crew caught snapper, scarlet sea perch, venus tusk fish, pearl perch, amberjack and Maori cod. North Reefs had gold spot cod, pearl perch, grass emperor, tusk fish and moses perch. The Barwon Banks has recently had good catches of snapper Mahi Mahi, cobia, tusk fish, moses perch, pearl perch, Maori cod and mackerel. Big grass sweetlip, snapper and moses perch from the Gneerings. Spotty and a few spanish mackerel, cobia, sweetlip and snapper form Caloundra 5 and 12 mile reefs.
Noosa: Still catching trevally, queenfish, few bigger bream and a few quality flathead in the lower river. Bream, mangrove jack and trevally in the Woods Bays. A few good whiting showing up from throughout lower river.
Maroochydore: There are schools of herring bait fish around Picnic Pt, Chambers Island and up to the Cod Hole. Trevally and bream from the Cod Hole and Chambers Island. Whiting and bream from Cotton Tree. Good flathead and mangrove jack in Petrie Creek. A few mud crabs in the creeks.
Mooloolaba: Worth a try for whiting from the La Balsa sand basin. Flathead on soft plastics in the Mooloolaba canals. Bream, flathead and trevally around the moorings. Mangrove jack and a cod from the Kawana Weir. Mud crabs in the upper river.
Caloundra: Whiting and some big flathead from Golden Beach. Good big grunter, bream and flathead south of Coochin Creek. Bream and trevally in Pelican Waters. Few sand crabs between the bar and Bells Creek, worth chasing a few muddies as well.
