Offshore: With the Full Moon on Sunday the fish should be on the bite! Reasonable conditions for most of the day today with winds north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots before dawn then becoming southeast to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the early afternoon. Northeasterly winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore in the evening, seas below 1 metre, but keep your eye on the swells easterly 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore. Tomorrow should have choppy conditions but hopefully mostly okay with winds northeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Inshore winds 10 to 15 knots during the morning. and seas 1 to 1.5 metres. So be ready to go! Chardon's Reef has had Spanish and spotted mackerel as well as plenty of tuna. Hall's Reef and Jew Shoal is where the action was hot for spotty mackerel and longtail tuna . There's been Spanish and Spotty mackerel, yellowfin and bluefin tuna from the Gneerings. Spotty mackerel and mac tuna out from Coolum and around Mudjimba Island. Snapper, Mahi mahi (dolphin fish), grass sweetlip, good spotty and Spanish mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile.

Estuaries and Beaches

Noosa: Sundays Full Moon will have the fish on the bite. Plenty of fresh water in the river system so best to fish the lower river. Trevally and queenfish in the lower river system. A few good jacks and grunter bream from between the lakes and upper river system. Whiting from the frying pan and Munna Point. Few mud crabs on the move in the upper reaches.

Maroochydore: There is plenty of fresh flood runoff in the river with many water hyacinth floating rafts and other debris so take extra care when boating. Best to fish the lower river for whiting, flathead particularly on the incoming tide. bream and Flathead to 66cm from Petrie Creek and 78cm released in the Cod Hole. Grunter and whiting from Bli Bli. A few mud crabs and the odd sandcrab throughout the system.

Mooloolaba: Try for a few whiting, bream and grunter bream in the Mooloolah canals and from Mountain creek, as well as mangrove jack, flathead and trevally from the Twin Bridges area. Bream and flathead from La Balsa Park. Worth a try for a few muddies throughout.

Caloundra: A few dart, bream and whiting in the gutters, Bream Mangrove jack, grunter bream, flathead and mud crabs throughout the Passage and in the creeks. GT's, mangrove jack, queenfish and and few quality bream in Pelican Waters Canal.
