Offshore: Looks like much better conditions for today and calming down even further tomorrow with winds easterly 15 to 20 knots easing to 10 to 15 knots inshore in the morning and seas 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning. Tomorrow will have reasonable conditions with winds east to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. and seas 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning. As conditions improve be ready to go! Cougar One skipper Nat Turner, we fished Double Island Point last Sunday’s nine hour charter. Conditions were great however a strong current from the north forced us to drift most of the day which turned out to be successful. Chardon's Reef has had Spanish and spotted mackerel as well as plenty of tuna. Hall's Reef and Jew Shoal is where the action was hot for spotty mackerel and longtail tuna . There's been Spanish and Spotty mackerel, yellowfin and bluefin tuna from the Gneerings. Spotty mackerel and mac tuna out from Coolum and around Mudjimba Island. Snapper, Grass sweetlip, good spotty and Spanish mackerel from Caloundra 5 and 12 mile.

Estuaries and Beaches

Noosa: Trevally and the quality queenfish in the lower river system. A few good jacks and grunter bream from between the lakes and upper river system. Whiting from the frying pan and Munna Point. Few mud crabs on the move in the upper reaches.

Maroochydore: Try for golden and giant trevally, mangrove jack, bream and cod lower reaches of the river and the Cod Hole. Flathead to 66cm from Petrie Creek. Grunter and whiting from Bli Bli. A few mud crabs in the creek and canals.

Mooloolaba: Try for a few whiting, bream and grunter bream in the Mooloolah canals and from Mountain creek, as well as mangrove jack, flathead and trevally from the Twin Bridges area. Bream and flathead from La Balsa Park. Worth a try for a few muddies

Caloundra: A few dart in the gutters, bream and grass sweetlip from Shelly Beach. Mangrove jack, grunter bream, flathead and mud crabs throughout the Passage and in the creeks. GT's, mangrove jack, queenfish and and few quality bream in Pelican Waters Canal.
