Maroochydore: Chopper tailor at the river mouth. Jew and trevally around Twin Waters. Whiting on the banks in the lower reaches particularly the Black Bank. Flathead from Picnic Point. Sand crabs in the mouth of Petrie Creek. Mud crabs in the upper reaches and the canals.
Kawana: Some big bream and morwong on the beach at Mooloolaba. Mud crabs in the upper reaches of the river and the creeks. Sand crabs towards the river mouth. Bream around the moorings and along La Balsa Park. Have a go for mangrove jack in Mountain Creek and around McKenzies Bridge.
Caloundra: Trevally inside the Caloundra bar and around the jetties. Bream also around the jetties and the boardwalk. Grunter bream in Pelican Waters Canals. Whiting off Moffat Beach and in Currimundi Lake. Sand crabs throughout the passage.

Caught and released this 99cm Barra on Thursday night the 11th December at the Cod Hole in Maroochydore River on live herring. (REMEMBER, closed season East Coast 1st Nov to 1st Feb annually. Except most dams)
