Mud crabs in the mid to upper reaches of the Maroochy River.
Kawana: Try for dart, whiting and flathead along the beaches. Bream in the lower reaches of the Mooloolah River and whiting in the canals. Jack in the in Kawana Waters and around the bridges in Currimundi Lake. A few crabs in canal systems and lower river.
Caloundra: Dart and whiting off the NE tip of Bribie Island and some good flathead around the 60cm mark between Caloundra Bar and Bells Creek mouth. A few grunter around Military Jetty and the Boardwalk and trevally on the incoming tide in the canals and creek mouths. Put the crab pots in the creeks for a few muddies.

The hot days have had the mangrove jack chewing their heads off in the Maroochy River with Jamie Whateley catching this good fish in the middle river on Anglers Advantage Charters.
