GoPro Fishing Team on a Pontoon Boat
Regular visiting angler to Swan Boat Hire, Craig Stewart who also works for DPI in Brisbane City took a day out with good company on a large BBQ Pontoon and filmed the whole experience. Craig is no stranger to recording his experiences and has now ventured out to start a virtual network for anglers to share info and experiences. Together with a mate, Craig created a fishing web site called Ozfishtube.com They are also delving into the world of fishing videos and Craig's younger brother is also onboard doing all the original Musical compositions for the backing tracks.
The aim is to show the fishing options available throughout South East Queensland and which species are caught seasonally, showing techniques and some locations (but not giving away secret spots or precise locations). They plan to cover everything from Bass fishing with lures and Red Clawing at Somerset Dam, right through all your Bream/Whiting/Flathead/Mangrove Jack/Jewfish/Tailor stuff from Caloundra to the Nerang River. Mackerel, tuna, Reefies, Snapper, cobia around Moreton Bay, Crabbing, Prawning as well as a little offshore stuff that would still be accessible to the average family fisho. We really want to show the Beginner and Intermediate angler what is available to them without breaking the bank! Even the experts might learn a trick or two!! And yes they will also cover lures, plastics, tackle, rods and reels on the site and videos as well. In time, maybe a bit of stuff on rod building and restoring old rods and Alvey reels etc…………..really, the sky is the limit !

Today on the Maroochy River we had our own group of comedians going out on a BBQ Pontoon Boat for a heap of fun and nonsense. The crew consisted of The Skipper, Ginger (Movie Star), Thurston Howell III, (Millionaire) Mrs Thurston, Ginger, the Professor and Mary-Ann.

Members of a Sunshine Coast Business Referral Club opted for a fun Breakfast meet on two BBQ Party Boats on Thursday March 24, 2011 and the Maroochy River put on a great show - weatherwise! Darren from Swan Boat Hire cooked breakfast on the Barbeque and everyone enjoyed the comfortable facilities.
