This unforgettable tour offers the perfect blend of freedom and natural beauty, as you journey through the winding river, surrounded by lush forests, towering mountains, and an abundance of vibrant marine and bird life.

Our journey begins at our convenient office located on the tranquil inside of Chambers Island. From here, we head up the river, taking in the sights as we pass through the charming Bli Bli area. Prepare for an exciting ride as we navigate the thrilling twists and turns of the upper river, where the landscape opens up to reveal stunning vistas. As we continue our adventure, we pass Coolum Creek, eventually making our way to the picturesque Dunithen Rock, an iconic spot along the river.

Along the way, you’ll be immersed in the serene beauty of the expansive mangrove forests, where you can witness the thriving fish populations and spot a diverse array of birdlife in their natural habitat. Take in the peaceful surroundings and incredible wildlife as you glide through this pristine environment. All while enjoying spectacular views of the majestic Mount Coolum and Mount Ninderry, two of the region’s most striking natural landmarks. River Safari Tour (approx. 90 mins)

Venture into the heart of the Sunshine Coast on a 55km River Safari that reveals the true beauty and diversity the Maroochy River has to offer. From coastal beaches to rainforest-lined bends, this is an unforgettable exploration by water, a chance to experience nature, wildlife, and wide-open adventure at your own pace.

Our journey starts at our office located along the inside of Chambers Island, an ideal launching point to ease into the day. After a few relaxed laps of our circuit to get the hang of things, we set off heading downstream, cruising past Twin Waters and toward the river mouth. This lower section opens up to reveal a string of pristine riverfront beaches and sandbars, a perfect spot to stop and take in the wide coastal views.
As we turn and make our way upriver, the scenery begins to shift. The river narrows and winds past the Bli Bli region, where you’re likely to spot planes overhead as they descend toward or lift off from the nearby airport. From here, the river becomes more secluded. You’ll pass Coolum Creek as we wind through mangrove forests rich with life, from fish jumping out from below the surface, to birds like osprey, herons, and sea eagles soaring above.
Continuing on, the landscape opens again near the majestic Dunethin Rock, a towering outcrop that offers stunning river views and a glimpse into the region’s geological past. As you approach the turnaround point just before Yandina, the river becomes beautifully quiet, framed by forested banks and distant mountain silhouettes.

Mount Coolum and Mount Ninderry keep popping up throughout the journey, always there like that nosy neighbour peeking over the fence, just to remind you how the river links the coast to the hinterland.
This isn’t your average tour. It’s a River Safari through some of Queensland’s most varied and beautiful terrain. Ideal for wildlife lovers, explorers, and anyone craving a fresh perspective on the Sunshine Coast.

Ocean Tour (approx. 75 mins)

Leave the calm waters behind and set your sights on the open sea with our 40km Mudjimba Island Ocean Tour. This unbelievable adventure follows the Sunshine Coast’s stunning shoreline all the way to the rugged, virtually untouched beauty of Mudjimba Island.
We start easy, launching from our base near Chambers Island and easing into the day with a few relaxed laps around our exclusive circuit. Once everyone’s feeling comfortable, we cruise downstream past Twin Waters, heading toward the river mouth, where the real journey begins.

Heading out through the Maroochy River mouth can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s one we’ve got well covered. Our guides know the channels and tides like the backs of their hands, so the transition from river to ocean is smooth, safe, and well-timed.
Once we’re through, take a moment to look up and see the open ocean all around. Sweeping coastal views from Noosa in the north to Cape Moreton in the south, with the peaks of the Glass House Mountains rising inland to the west.
From here, we head north along the coast, passing the wide beaches of North Shore and Mudjimba. This stretch of coastline is where you can really feel the wind in your face as we reach top speed before Mudjimba Island appears on the horizon.

As we approach, keep your eyes peeled: turtles, rays, dolphins, and, if we’re really lucky, even whales (June–October) can make an appearance. We’ll cruise close enough to spot seabirds nesting on the rocky cliffs, and get a good look at the lively reef life that surrounds the island. We’ll take a loop around, pause for a few photos, and just soak up the moment.
After the island, we head back the way we came, once again carefully navigating the river mouth and returning to the calm embrace of the Maroochy River. As you cruise past the familiar bends and ease back toward Chambers Island, it’s hard not to feel like you’ve just been let in on one of the coast’s best-kept secrets.
